It is often seen that management graduates may have knowledge about the concepts of management, but may lack a deep understanding of the industry in which they will be working. To overcome these serious lacunae, RGIPT launched the MBA in Petroleum & Energy Management in 2008. The aim of the programme is to prepare energy professionals who can spearhead the oil & gas industry in the future.
MBA (P&EM) offers a unique opportunity to the students to build a strong understanding of the energy industry. Apart from gaining knowledge about management ideas, the students are also groomed by industry experts and are given a deep understanding of the energy business by current practitioners. This is further augmented by summer internships in energy companies and projects undertaken as part of the two year programme. We have been consistent in achieving 100 percent placement record for our MBA graduates since the inception of the institute, and the year 2015 was no exception. Our students have been hired by all the prominent energy companies like BPCL, HPCL, GAIL, IOCL, OIL, ONGC in the public sector; and RIL, Accenture, Adani, Essar, Sabarmati Gas Ltd. in the private sector. They are also making a mark in domains like energy trading and consulting by working in companies like AT Kearney, Deloitte, E-valueserve, Glencore, L&T Infotech etc. We always look forward to establishing a mutually beneficial relationship with the industry: consulting and research, executive education, lectures by industry experts, internships and placements. We welcome opportunities to build strong industry-academia linkages for ensuring our curriculum remains industry relevant and students are exposed to real-world issues. We welcome opportunities to build strong industry-academia linkages for providing world class education and building leaders of tomorrow.
